Buystocklot: The Verified B2B Marketplace for Wholesale Stocklots and Surplus Inventory

For years, wholesale stocklot trading has happened in the cracks. Telegram chats, broker WhatsApp groups, forwarded photos of pallets that may or may not exist. Buyers wire deposits to companies they have never verified. Sellers ship containers and hope the payment clears. The whole thing runs on personal trust, which works until it doesn't.

Buystocklot is a B2B wholesale marketplace built to fix that. We connect verified buyers and verified sellers of stocklots, surplus inventory, closeouts, and bulk lots across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Direct deals. Zero commission. Every seller on the platform has been through KYB verification before their first listing goes live.

This page covers what the platform does, who it serves, and how it changes the day to day of wholesale stocklot sourcing.

What is a stocklot?

A stocklot is unsold inventory that an importer, distributor, manufacturer, or retailer needs to move in bulk. It comes from over orders, cancelled contracts, end of season excess, closing stores, or production runs that simply did not sell through.

Stocklots are not damaged or rejected goods. The merchandise is usually new, often still in original packaging, sometimes with retail tags. What makes a stocklot different from regular wholesale is the price and the situation. The seller wants the warehouse space back. The buyer takes the entire lot at 30 to 60 percent below standard wholesale, then resells through outlets, discount channels, export markets, or refurbishment operations.

Common stocklot categories include clothing, footwear, electronics, beauty and personal care, home goods, toys, and FMCG. The buyers are wholesalers, exporters, discount retail chains, market traders, refurbishers, and import distributors in fast moving consumer markets.

Why the existing sourcing channels are broken

If you have spent any time trying to source wholesale stocklots online, you already know the problems.

Most deals happen on Telegram and WhatsApp through brokers who never own the goods. The same pallet photo gets forwarded across five group chats over six months. Prices are quoted without invoices. Verification of the seller's company means doing your own research at best and trusting an unsourced reputation at worst. When a deal goes wrong, there is no recourse and often no working phone number.

The big general purpose B2B platforms have a different problem. They are optimised for new manufactured goods, not for closeouts and surplus. Listing a stocklot on a generic platform means burying it under thousands of factory direct listings. Search filters do not match how stocklot buyers actually think about sourcing. The fee structures take a percentage of every deal, eating into margins that are already thinner than standard wholesale.

Buystocklot exists because wholesale stocklots are a specialised market and they deserve a specialised platform.

How Buystocklot works

The platform is structured around four core ideas: verification, direct deals, fair pricing, and category specialisation.

Verified sellers only

Every seller account passes Know Your Business verification before listing. We check the trade license, the company registration in the country of operation, the bank account, and where possible the warehouse address. Sellers who pass receive a Verified Seller badge that buyers see on every listing. Sellers who refuse to verify cannot list goods. See the Trust and Safety page for the full verification process.

This is the single biggest change from how stocklot trading used to work. Buyers stop guessing who they are dealing with.

Direct buyer to seller contact

Buyers contact sellers directly through the platform. No broker layer. No middleman taking a slice. When a buyer unlocks a seller's contact details, they reach the actual company that holds the goods.

For sellers, this means every conversation is a real lead, not a forwarded query from someone hunting a commission.

Zero commission on deals

Buystocklot charges sellers a flat monthly subscription for access to the platform. We do not take a percentage of any deal. When a buyer and seller agree on terms, the money moves between their two companies the way wholesale has always worked. The seller keeps everything they sold for.

This matters because stocklot margins are tighter than standard wholesale. A 5 to 15 percent platform fee, which is the norm on most B2B marketplaces, can make the difference between a deal being worth doing and being a waste of warehouse space.

Category and geography specialisation

The platform is organised around the categories where stocklot trading is most active: clothing, shoes and footwear, bags and accessories, electronics and appliances, health and beauty, home and garden, sports and leisure, food and beverage, toys and kids, mixed liquidation, and general merchandise.

Geographic coverage focuses on the trade flows that matter for stocklot sourcing. European wholesalers liquidating end of season stock. Turkish manufacturers with overstocked production runs. MENA importers looking for closeout goods. African and Latin American distributors hunting for inventory at the right landed cost.

Who Buystocklot is for

The platform serves two sides of every transaction.

Wholesale buyers

If you import goods, run a discount retail operation, supply market stalls, or move stocklots into emerging markets, Buystocklot is built for you. The active listings are filtered for verified sellers, the search filters match how buyers actually think (category, condition grade, minimum order quantity, location, price per unit), and the Sourcing Board lets you post specific buying requests that sellers respond to.

Free buyer accounts can browse, save listings, and contact a limited number of sellers per month. Buyer Pro unlocks unlimited seller contact, priority placement on the Sourcing Board, and WhatsApp alerts on new stocklots matching your saved searches.

Wholesale sellers

If you have surplus inventory, end of line stock, cancelled order goods, or excess production runs to move, Buystocklot puts you in front of vetted wholesale buyers worldwide. Listings include photos, condition grading, minimum order quantities, and direct contact. The Verified Seller badge tells buyers you are real.

The seller subscription includes a fixed number of listings, featured slots that pin a listing to the top of category pages for thirty days, and access to direct messages with interested buyers. The Standard, Pro, and Enterprise tiers scale up listing limits, featured slot allowances, and visibility features.

Trust and safety

The verification layer is what makes the platform different. Every seller goes through a KYB check before their first listing is approved. The Trust and Safety page documents the verification process, the dispute resolution policy, and the buyer protection guidance. We publish red flag checklists, recommend pre shipment inspection providers like QIMA and Intertek, and make seller verification status visible on every listing.

Buystocklot does not handle the money. We provide the discovery layer, the verification, the direct contact, and the contract templates. The money moves between buyer and seller through standard wholesale terms (typically 30 percent deposit on confirmation, 70 percent against shipping documents). Keeping the platform out of the payment flow keeps it focused on what it does best, which is matching the right buyer to the right seller fast.

AI assistance with Bix

The platform includes an in house AI assistant called Bix. Bix understands the catalogue, knows the active listings, and can answer questions in plain language across multiple languages. Buyers chat with Bix to find stocklots that match a brief. Sellers use Bix to draft listings, translate descriptions, and identify buyers who have been searching for their category.

Bix is not a chatbot bolted on top of the site. It is a working assistant trained on the platform's data, designed to make sourcing and listing faster.

Getting started

For buyers, registration is free and takes about two minutes. After signup you can browse all listings, save the ones that interest you, and contact a limited number of sellers per month. Upgrade to Buyer Pro when you need unlimited contact unlocks and priority Sourcing Board placement.

For sellers, registration is free but listing requires verification. The KYB check takes 24 to 48 hours for manual review, or under ten minutes through the automated Persona flow. Once verified you can choose a plan and start listing.

The platform supports five languages out of the box (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, German) with automatic translation of listings across all five. A seller in Istanbul can list once in Turkish and a buyer in Algiers reads it in Arabic without any extra work.

Trade smarter

Wholesale stocklot trading does not need to be a Telegram lottery. It does not need to leak margin to brokers. It does not need to leave buyers wondering whether the container will ever arrive.

Buystocklot is what it looks like when the same trade runs on verification, direct contact, and zero commission. The deal is between the two companies. The platform's job is to make that deal possible, defensible, and repeatable.
